Join the growing number of economic development professionals who are using TX-PACE for business retention and expansion, to redevelop and repurpose vacant buildings, to help finance sustainable new construction, and to create new jobs. This workshop is a unique opportunity for economic development experts to learn how the Henderson County Texas Property Assessed Clean Energy (TX-PACE) Program lowers operating costs and finances energy efficiency, water conservation, distributed generation, and resilience upgrades in commercial and nonprofit facilities in Henderson County.
Case studies from across Texas will demonstrate how the TX-PACE program is revitalizing and repurposing properties to their highest and best use. To date, $400 million in PACE financing new energy and water-saving investment has occurred in Texas. Projects range from $70,000 to $40 million. PACE funding complements historic tax credits, new market tax credits, HUD and FHA assistance, USDA grants and guarantees, housing tax credits, opportunity zone financing, utility incentives, and federal green incentives such as 179(d) of the federal tax code.
The Henderson County PACE program is at your disposal at no cost to your EDC or community. EDCs and local governments are using their PACE programs to stretch their existing incentives further and revitalize their communities. Developers and owners are struggling with increased interest and supply costs and looking for alternative sources of capital. When they come to you for help to fill the gap in their capital stacks, you can point them to the Henderson County PACE program, which can fill gaps in a capital stack and reduce operating expenses. This workshop will show you how to help your businesses take advantage of it. Feel free to share this invitation with leaders in your community.
